Event overview
The Christmas Day Cracker Run on 25 December 2026 is a 7-hour Time Challenge organised by Saturn Running at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Runners may run or walk and can choose how many laps to complete within the 7-hour limit. A Christmas-themed finisher medal is awarded to anyone who completes at least 3 km. Distance pins are awarded to runners who complete a half-marathon or longer within the time limit.
Distances and rules
- 3 km - minimum distance; official finisher status.
- 5 km - open to entrants aged 12 and over.
- 10 km - open to entrants aged 16 and over.
- Half Marathon - open to entrants aged 17 and over.
- Marathon - open to entrants aged 18 and over.
- Ultra / 50 km - open to entrants aged 18 (Ultra) or 20 (50 km) and over.
A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap to meet UK Athletics age rules. It is 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon, and 7 or more for an ultra. Membership offers a reduced entry price and guaranteed entry.
Facilities and provisions
Toilets and changing facilities are at the race HQ. There is an unstaffed bag area at the start/finish; items are left at participants' own risk. Parking is available at the Runnymede Pleasure Grounds pay-on-exit carpark. Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option available on request. A Christmas Dinner aid table and a small gift are provided. Headphones are allowed and participants are asked to be considerate of other path users.
