The minimum distance is 3km, with a full lap being approximately 4.37 miles (7km).
Distances and Format
Participants can choose to run a set distance or determine their own within the time frame. The course uses a lap format:
- 3km (minimum)

There is a dedicated 3km turn point and 5km turn point on the lap for younger runners.
The Course
The course follows a stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed and requires no navigation. The surface is a mixture: approximately 60% is on well-made path or tarmac, with the remainder on grass and light trail that can get muddy. Road shoes can be used year-round, but trail shoes are an option.
