Mudskipper SwimRun Sasamat and Sasamat Ice Cracker Open Water Swim
Mudskipper SwimRun Sasamat and the Sasamat Ice Cracker Open Water Swim take place at White Pine Beach Road, Belcarra, alongside events around Sasamat Lake on May 16, 2027. The program combines open water swimming, SwimRun, trail running and a new aquathlon.

Trail running distances include a 6K course run as two laps, a 9K course run as three laps, and a separate 10K trail run completed in three laps. The Sasamat Aquathlon for 2027 consists of a 2.5K run, a 1.0K swim, then a 2.5K run.
Event operations and rules noted for participants include provision of swim caps that must be worn for identification, and race numbers inked on the upper back or shoulder. Water temperature at this time of year is expected between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius. There is no rain date; events would be delayed or cancelled only in the event of lightning. Wetsuits are recommended for early season conditions.
The SwimRun program describes common equipment considerations: wetsuits are optional for many SwimRun events, shoes should drain and offer good grip, and accessories such as goggles, hand paddles and a pull buoy are commonly used within specified size limits.
