The Sarcoma Stomp - Charlotte, NC
The Sarcoma Stomp takes place on April 11, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church, 4519 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28226. The event is the signature fundraiser of The Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research and has been held in Charlotte since 2011. The event program includes an after-race party with music, food trucks, and games. Sarcoma survivor guests may register for free, and racing chair requests are accepted.

Early registration price for these events is $30. The price for the 5K and 3K increases to $35 after the first 50 registrants; the Virtual Stomper price increases to $35 after the first 25 registrants. Registration opens December 8, 2025.
Purpose and beneficiaries
Proceeds support sarcoma research, including clinical trials and translational studies. Funds raised go into a competitive grant program that awards research grants to Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute, Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Duke Cancer Institute, and UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
