Event overview
The Sarcoma Shuffle is scheduled for June 7, 2026 at Wheaton Regional Park in Silver Spring, Maryland (2000 Shorefield Rd.). The event offers two race distances:
- 5k
- 10k
Points from the races count toward a Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward a Spring Series. A virtual race option is available. Registered participants receive a finisher medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered before May 27; extra shirts may be available after that date on a first-come, first-served basis.
Course, logistics, and results
The course is mostly paved with rolling hills and includes small sections of trail and gravel. The 5k is one loop; the 10k is two loops. Water stations are located roughly at mile markers 1.3 and 2 for the 5k, and at 1.3, 2, 3.1, 4.4, and 5.1 for the 10k; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are inside the park. Packet pickup is available at the event; race day registration is offered but shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for day-of registrants. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and via a race-day QR code; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.
