Santas on the Run XI 5K & One Mile Walk
The event takes place on November 28, 2026 at JFK School in Spring Valley, Illinois (999 N Strong Ave). It includes a timed 5K and a one mile walk and benefits the Hall Township Food Pantry.

Each participant receives a lighted Santa hat. Pre-registrants may choose a hoodie, sweatshirt, or long sleeve T shirt. The stated registration fee is $30. No refunds or registration transfers are allowed.
The 5K course is a certified measured route, described as mostly flat with two gentle hills. The race will be chip timed with computerized results. Awards will be given to Overall Male and Female top finishers and to first, second, and third places in the following age groups: 6 and under; 7-9; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 and over. Awards will be Christmas ornaments.
Water and goodie stops are placed at mile 1 and approximately mile 1.7. Holiday goodie stops will offer cookies, candy, and hot chocolate. Traffic control will be provided. Organizers request non perishable food donations; for every two items donated a participant earns one entry in a raffle for prizes donated by event sponsors. The event may include an appearance by Santa to start the race and possibly hand out awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
