Event details
The August Hill Wine Run is a chip-timed 5k scheduled for May 9, 2026 at August Hill Winery, 106 Mill St., Utica, IL 61373. The race starts and finishes on Mill Street in front of the winery and follows the I&M Canal on a flat course. Results are timed and scored by J3 Timing and will be posted online.
Race features and logistics
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine (minors do not receive a wine glass or wine pour). Packet pickup is race day only. Free race photos will be available for download.
Top three finishers in each 10-year age category receive a custom age group award; awards are available for pickup on race day and will not be shipped. Competitive runners should start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register.
A virtual participation option is offered; registrants can pick up a packet and run independently or request that a packet be shipped for an additional shipping and handling charge.
