August Hill Wine Run 5k
The August Hill Wine Run 5k is scheduled for May 9, 2026 at August Hill Winery in Utica, Illinois. The course starts and finishes on Mill Street in front of the winery and follows the I&M Canal. The route is described as very flat and fast.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine. The event is professionally timed and scored by J3 Timing and results will be posted online.
The event offers age group awards. Top three finishers in each ten year age category receive a custom award; awards must be picked up at the event and are not available for shipment. Competitive runners should start with the first starting group to be eligible for age group awards.
Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib; those minors do not receive a wine glass or a wine pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground on the course. A virtual participation option is available and packets can be shipped for an additional fee.
