Santa Shuffle 5k Fun Run & Walk : event details
The event takes place on December 13, 2025, in Nixon, TX, with the start and finish at Nixon City Hall. The course distance is 5k (3.1 mile) and is described as well marked and easy to follow. Holiday-themed attire is encouraged, and awards will be given for best individual and group outfits. Proceeds benefit local student and amateur endurance athletes through scholarships, training clinics, race entry fees, and equipment assistance.
Registration, amenities and race policies
Registration fees are listed as $20 for adults, $10 for ages 11–18, and free for children 10 and under. Paid participants are to receive a T-shirt; everyone who finishes the run receives a finisher medal. Shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants. Water is provided at the start/finish only. Headphones and earbuds are allowed, but participants are asked to be aware that this is an open road course. Parking is available at city hall and along East 2nd Street; participants are asked not to block the finish-line chute. City hall restrooms will be available.
