Santa Run 8K/5K & Snowman Dash
The event is a set of holiday-themed running options held in Uptown Charlotte in front of Truist Ballpark. Participants choose among multiple distances and character shirts, and costume accessories are provided for many registrants.
Distances offered:
- 8K with character shirt option and timing
- 5K with character shirt option and timing
- 1 mile Snowman Dash, untimed for walkers
- Virtual 8K or 5K with mailed shirt and bib
Shirt and costume details are tied to registration deadlines. Runners who register before December 1st are guaranteed a choice of character shirt (Santa, Elf, Reindeer, or Snowman) and a matching hat or beanie where noted. After December 1st many registrants will be assigned a Santa shirt while inventory lasts. Finisher medals are guaranteed for the 8K and 5K only. Disposable timing tags are issued for timed participants and the Snowman Dash has a finish line clock.
Packet pick up is available the day before at Run For Your Life Midtown and on race day at the event site; packets may be picked up for friends or family. A medical tent will be located at the finish line. Timing is provided by Run Events using Chronotrack. Awards include top three overall male and female and first place in age groups; unclaimed awards are not shipped. Registration fees are non refundable and registrations are non transferable. Races proceed in varied weather unless organizers or local authorities determine conditions are unsafe. Music and postrace food and hot cocoa are provided.
