Participation details
Costumes are encouraged but not required; participants choose a character shirt (Santa, Elf, Reindeer, or Snowman) when registering. Registrants who register before December 1 are guaranteed a choice of character shirt and a corresponding hat; those who register after that date will be registered as Santa while inventory lasts. All 8K and 5K participants receive t-shirts if registered by the deadline. Finisher medals are guaranteed for the 8K and 5K only. Virtual runners receive a mailed shirt and bib and may submit a time on the results page.
Logistics, timing, and services
Packet pickup is available the day before at Run For Your Life - Midtown and on race day at 324 S. Mint St. The 8K uses ChronoTrack timing with disposable timing tags distributed at packet pick up; Snowman Dash participants can view their time on the finish line clock. A medical tent will be located at the finish line. Food, water, and hot cocoa are provided after the finish. Parking is available in Uptown Charlotte lots and decks near Truist Ballpark. Refunds and transfers are not available. Awards are given to top finishers and age-group winners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
