Event

The Santa Rosa Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, in Old Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa. The course runs through the streets of downtown, out along the Santa Rosa Creek, and back to the square. The event is held rain or shine. Distances offered include:

The Tiny Turkey is a short course around Old Courthouse Square and is open to children ages 1 to 5.

Awards and charity

The 2026 edition features a wooden finisher's medal. Age group awards are presented on special finishers lanyards in addition to podium awards for top finishers. The event supports the Redwood Empire Food Bank in 2026, directing proceeds to efforts that address food insecurity in Sonoma County.
