McGuire's Breakfast Challenge
The Empire Runners Club presents the 46th annual McGuire's Breakfast Runs at Hidden Valley Elementary School in Santa Rosa, CA. The event features two consecutive races: a 3K followed by an 8K that begins once the 3K is complete. Participants may run either one event or both.
Distances
- 3K
- 8K
Both races start and finish in front of Hidden Valley Elementary School. The 3K route runs south on Bonita Vista Lane and follows neighborhood streets before returning to the school. The 8K route runs north on Bonita Vista Lane, continues through local roads and Fountaingrove Parkway, uses the Chanate Road exit, and returns to the school.
Registration options are listed for club members and non-members. Empire Runners Club members may pre-register for free through November 28, with limited race day registration available for an additional fee. New 2027 memberships include entry for the race and are offered as youth, adult, or family categories at specified fees. Non-members have separate online and race day pricing.
There are no divisional awards for these events, though finishers sometimes receive a small treat. A breakfast potluck follows the 8K in the school auditorium; participants are asked to bring a breakfast food or drink item to share and to provide their own plates and utensils if possible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
