Event Information
The Santa Fe Ten Memorial Run In Remembrance takes place on May 16, 2026. It is a memorial event for the ten individuals lost on May 18, 2018. All proceeds from the event go to the Santa Fe Ten Memorial fund, which supports a future place for introspection and reflection for the affected community.
The event offers several participation formats:
- Adult 5K Run/Walk (in-person)
- Kids 1K Run/Walk (in-person, for ages 2-10 only)
- Virtual Adult 5K Run/Walk
- Virtual Kids 1K Run/Walk (for ages 2-10)
The in-person event is located at Jack Brooks Park (5700 FM Hwy 6, Hitchcock, TX). Awards are given for 1st through 3rd place in the 5K across male and female age groups: 10-14, 15-19, 20-34, 35-49, 50-64, and 65+. Awards are also given for the top three finishers in the Kids 1K. Additional award categories include champion dog walker, champion dual runner, and champion team.
Beyond the runs, the event features music, a silent auction, food trucks, and treats for finishers. Same-day registration is available on-site on the event day, though event merchandise may be limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
