Santa Fe Ten Memorial Run In Remembrance
The event on May 16, 2026 takes place at Jack Brooks Park, 5700 FM Hwy 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563. It is held in remembrance of the ten people lost on May 18, 2018. Proceeds benefit the Santa Fe Ten Memorial, a future place for reflection for the local community.
Race options include in person and virtual formats with distances for adults and children.
- 5K adult run/walk, in person and virtual.
- 1K kids run/walk for ages 2 to 10, in person and virtual.
Awards are given across multiple categories. The 5K will award first through third place medals for male and female age groups 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 34, 35 to 49, 50 to 64, and 65 and older, plus first place overall male and female. The Kids 1K will award first through third place for ages 2 to 10. Additional recognitions include champion dog walker, champion dual runner, and champion team categories.
Event features include music, a silent auction, treats for finishers, and food trucks. Same-day registration is available on May 16; some items may not be available but extra shirts and medals are planned. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
