About the race
Santa Claus Classic takes place on November 22, 2026 at Callaway Gardens, Robin Lake Beach in Pine Mountain, GA. The race course travels through the Callaway Gardens display Fantasy in Lights and includes themed miles such as marshmallow, chocolate, and candy cane. The route is described as very easy and is open to runners, walkers, and strollers.
The event distance is 10 km. There will be five to six aid stations on course offering water and Cerasport, each station featuring a holiday theme. The finish is located on the beach path beneath the pavilion. The start area is a short quarter to half mile walk from parking adjacent to Wren Lake; parking is available in the Robin Lake parking area.
Packet pick up is scheduled at the Pavilion at Robin Lake Beach on the day of the event, and participants must bring government issued photo identification; transfers require the transfer recipient's ID for verification. T shirts and medals are not guaranteed for those who register on race week or race day. Admission to Callaway Gardens is free for athletes and spectators, though drive through or trolley access to the lights for spectators may incur an additional charge and must be booked through Callaway Gardens.
Visibility gear is mandatory. Participants must wear a light, glow stick, vest, flashlight, or similar item so they are visible to other runners and course traffic; a flashlight is recommended for the final mile. Awards are given to the top three in each age group across male and female divisions, with age groups starting at 14 and under then 15 to 19 in five year increments up to 70 and older.
