Santa Clarita Marathon
The Santa Clarita Marathon takes place on November 15, 2026 at Heritage Park along the Santa Clarita bike path (24155 Newhall Ranch RD, Santa Clarita, CA 91355). The event offers multiple race distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The marathon uses a certified USATF course that is described as mostly flat with some gentle rolling hills and is marked with mile markers. The full course is two loops; the half marathon is one loop. There is a generous seven hour time limit for the marathon. Aid stations and volunteers are provided; porta potties are placed along the course at regular intervals.
An early start option is available for half marathon runners who need extra time; participants who choose this option must know the course in advance and should expect to be self-sufficient for water during the first hour because not all water stations will be set up immediately. The event uses cup-less water stations and offers reusable cups for purchase at packet pickup or race day check-in.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race and includes distribution of timing chips, bibs, and shirts; no race day registration is available. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women in each race, top three in each age group for all distances, and top three teams. Post-race provisions include a plate of street tacos and event swag such as a finisher medal, premium shirt, hat, and reusable tote. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
