Course and logistics
Both races start at the sandy beach area of Green Lakes State Park and use the park trails around Round Lake and the area referred to as the Serengeti. The 10 mile route loops around the top section before descending back to the lakes and beach. The 3 mile route circles the two lakes and returns to the beach. There will be parking in the beach parking lots and park bathrooms will be open. The organizers advise appropriate trail footwear and note potential for injury; registrants agree to the event liability release. Aid on course is water-only and athletes are advised to carry hydration or nutrition. Transfers between distances are allowed; no pro-rated refunds and no refunds after the stated deadline.
