Sand to Serengeti : Green Lakes State Park
Sand to Serengeti is a trail running event at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, NY, offering two distances that both start and finish at the park beach. The course for the 10 mile route follows trails around Round Lake, climbs toward the area referred to as the Serengeti, loops the high section, and returns to the lakeside beach. The 3 mile route follows trails around the two lakes and returns to the beach.

Aid stations on course provide water only; participants are advised to carry personal hydration and nutrition. Park bathrooms will be open and parking is available in both beach parking lots. Packet pick-up is handled through Fleet Feet in East Syracuse and on race morning. Swag and awards: 10 mile finishers receive a medal and cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers; 3 mile top finishers receive ribbons. Additional participant options include a finisher shirt and neck gaiter for purchase. The event supports local businesses and a charity partner, Safe Space Organization.
