San Pasqual Valley Trail Race : San Diego Wine Country
The San Pasqual Valley Trail Race is the 9th annual trail event held at the San Pasqual staging lot in Escondido, California (18194 Bandy Canyon Rd). The event date is February 21, 2026. The course runs through vineyards, orange groves, and grass fields in San Pasqual Valley.
The event offers three distance options. The 10K follows a relatively flat route. The half marathon and 20 mile courses are out and back routes that summit Raptor Ridge twice. Course surface is predominantly single track, approximately 75 percent of the route, and elevation gain varies from about 200 to 1,200 feet depending on the distance.
A free wine tasting provided by local vineyards is available at the finish area. The event is limited to 450 runners. Packet pickup takes place on the two days before the race at local running and outdoor stores in the San Diego area.
This half marathon also serves as the final championship qualifier event for that distance. Parking for runners, spectators, volunteers, and staff is located at the San Pasqual trail head parking lot, with overflow parking within walking distance and on site parking staff assisting on race morning.
