The San Pasqual Valley Trail Race takes place on February 21, 2026, at the San Pasqual staging lot, 18194 Bandy Canyon Rd, Escondido, CA. This is the 9th annual running of the event and registration is limited to 450 participants. The event includes a free wine tasting at the finish provided by local vineyards. The half marathon serves as the final championship qualifier for that distance.
Course details
The event offers three distances:
- 20 Mile
- Half Marathon (13.1 mi)
- 10K (6.2 mi)
The course runs through vineyards, orange groves, grass fields, and trail sections. The 10K is described as relatively flat. The Half Marathon and 20 Mile routes follow an out-and-back layout that summits Raptor Ridge twice. About 75% of the course is single track. Elevation gain varies by distance, roughly from 200' to 1,200' depending on the race. Parking is at the San Pasqual trail head parking lot, with overflow parking within walking distance down the street. Packet pickup is scheduled at local locations in the days before the event.
