The San Marcos Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Tanger Outlets San Marcos, 4015 I-35 N, San Marcos, TX 78666. It is listed as Race 2 of 4 in the Texas Hill Country Half Marathon series. The half marathon route passes through prairie landscape with rolling hills. The start and finish are in the Tanger Outlet Mall parking lot, where post-race festivities are held. Packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet San Antonio at The Quarry the day before the race and also on race day at the Tanger Outlets. Fundraising organizations associated with the event include Marrow Match and San Antonio Young Marines.

All finishers receive a medal. Awards are given 1st through 4th for all distances. Age categories include 14 and under, 15-20, 21-24, then five-year bands from 25-29 up to 85-89, plus 90+. Overall awards (open, masters, super masters) are based on gun time; all age-group awards are based on chip time because starts use waves. The event has a no-refund policy. Transfer fees apply: $20 to transfer two days before the race, $30 the day before; no transfers after race day. Participants aged 16 and under, and those 70 and over, receive a 50% registration discount; combining that discount with other codes is prohibited.
