Samuel F Pearson Memorial Day Event : Piqua, OH
The Samuel F Pearson Memorial Day Event is the 14th annual community race held in Piqua on May 23, 2026. The event features a 5k Run/Walk on a course that starts and finishes on the bike path behind the former Piqua Power Plant at 123 Bridge Street, running along the Miami River. Packet pick up and final race registration are available on site the morning of the race.
Proceeds support local scholarships through the Piqua Education Foundation and the Samuel F Pearson Scholarship Fund. Funds remain in Piqua to assist Piqua High School seniors with financial support for further education. Organizers note that the number of scholarships awarded has increased over time as a result of the event.
Registration is listed at $25 per participant, with a reduced rate of $20 for groups of five or more. An event shirt is included with registration if the entry is received by May 8, 2026.
