Samuel F Pearson Memorial Day Event
The Samuel F Pearson Memorial Day event is the 14th annual community 5K run/walk held in Piqua, Ohio on May 23, 2026. The event raises funds for the Piqua Education Foundation to support scholarships awarded in Samuel F Pearson’s name. Money raised stays in Piqua and supports Piqua High School seniors with scholarship funds; the number of scholarships has increased year over year as a result of funds raised by the event.
The distance offered is 5K on a course that starts and finishes on the bike path at Lock Nine, 125 E Water St, along the Miami River. Registration for the event is listed at $25.00 per participant, with a group rate of $20.00 per person for groups of five or more. Registration includes an event shirt if the registration is received by May 8, 2026.
Packet pick up and final race registration are available at the race on Saturday morning.
