Sam's Run - Shreveport, LA
Sam's Run takes place on June 6, 2026 at the LSUS campus in Shreveport, Louisiana. The event benefits the Look in the Mirror Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed in memory of an individual; the foundation's mission is to discuss that person's journey with teenagers and young adults and help them make better choices.
Event options include a 5k and a Phantom Runner registration. The Phantom Runner option allows participants to support the event without attending in person and still receive a race t-shirt. All pre-registered participants will receive a Sam's Run t-shirt; adult shirts are gender specific and youth sizes are unisex. T-shirt availability is not guaranteed for registrations after May 27.
Registration fees are listed by date: $20 through May 1, $25 from May 2 through June 5, and $30 on race day. Packet pick-up is available early at Sportspectrum in Shreveport on June 4 and June 5, and at the race site on race day.
The event includes post-race refreshments, music, food and awards. Overall male and female winners receive a $200 gift card to Sportspectrum, second-place overall winners receive a $100 gift certificate, and first and second place winners in each age group receive trophies. Age groups are 15-under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Baby joggers and strollers are allowed but must start at the back; dogs, bicycles and skate devices are not allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
