Sam's Run : Shreveport, LA
Sam's Run takes place on June 6, 2026 at the LSUS campus in Shreveport, Louisiana. The event area is behind the HPE Building on the road by the soccer fields.
The event program includes an on-site running race and a virtual option. The on-site course for the 5k is a two-loop route entirely on the LSUS campus; the listed distance is 3.1 miles. A virtual "Phantom Runner" option is offered; virtual participants receive a t-shirt.
Registration fees follow tiered pricing: $20 through May 1, $25 from May 2 to June 5, and $30 on race day. All pre-registered participants are scheduled to receive a Sam's Run t-shirt. Adult shirts are gender specific and youth shirts are unisex. Race shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after May 27.
Packet pick-up is available at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, with early pickup on Thursday June 4 and Friday June 5, and on-site pickup the day of the event.
Post-race activities include refreshments, music, food, and awards. Awards include overall male and female prizes and age group trophies; overall winners receive gift certificates to Sportspectrum. Age divisions run from 15 and under through 70 and over. Baby joggers and strollers are allowed but must start in the back; dogs, bicycles, and skate devices are not allowed on the course.
