Sam's Rainbow Run
Sam's Rainbow Run is an annual community running event held at the CSU Oval in Fort Collins, Colorado. The event honors the memory of a Colorado State University graduate who died in a plane crash in 2022 and reflects values of support and kindness described by the organizer.
This edition is the third annual run and includes both in-person and virtual options. A new 1-mile kids' run has been added to encourage family participation and create a Pride-themed community gathering.
The event features these distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Student 5K
- Kids 1-Mile
- Virtual 5K
All proceeds are donated to the CSU Pride Resource Center. Funds are used to assist students with tuition, housing, food, and other essentials. The event aims to celebrate the honoree's legacy and provide practical support to students in need while offering multiple participation options at the CSU Oval, 701 Oval Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80521.
