Resolution Run - Fort Collins
One of Fort Collins' oldest races, returning for its 42nd year, the Resolution Run is a community 5K that starts and finishes at Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC). The course is a scenic, flat and fast loop through the Parkwood neighborhood and is held on low traffic residential streets.
The event is held after sunset and glow sticks are provided for participants. Kids, strollers, dogs and walkers are welcome. This is a rules of the road run; participants must obey traffic laws and yield to vehicles if encountered. Headphones and earbuds are not permitted. There is no water on course; hot cocoa is available at the finish. Modern restrooms are located at the start and finish area.
Entry items and limits are specified by the organizer. Entry fees include a gender-specific long sleeve shirt when registered by the posted guarantee date, a finisher memento, glow sticks and chocolate. The race is capped at 500 participants. Deferrals and transfers are allowed without fee by the organizer's stated deadline. Parking is available in the EPIC lot with a secondary lot approximately 400 yards north on Riverside Avenue.
Finish line awards and recognition are given by age group and category, including top finishers for male, female and non binary divisions, oldest and youngest finishers, and treats for K9 finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
