Resolution Run - Fort Collins
The Resolution Run is a community 5K held on December 31 in Fort Collins, with the start and finish at Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC), 1801 Riverside Ave. The event is presented as a neighborhood streets loop through the Parkwood area and is described as one of Fort Collins' oldest races, returning for its 42nd year.
The course is a rules‑of‑the‑road run; participants must obey traffic laws and yield to traffic if encountered. The route uses low-traffic residential streets, and organizers note the odds of encountering a vehicle on course are low. The race is held after sunset; glow sticks are provided and participants are encouraged to wear bright clothing and lights.
Entry benefits include a gender‑specific long-sleeve technical shirt (guaranteed for registrations by December 20), a finisher memento, glow sticks and chocolate. The event is capped at 500 participants. Registration pricing varies by date with different online and race-day fees; online registration closes on December 30. Deferrals and transfers are permitted through the online registration system up to December 30.
Facilities at the host venue include free parking in the EPIC lot, indoor heated space near the start/finish and modern restrooms. Packet pickup options include a self-serve station for early registrants and regular packet pickup at EPIC on race day. Headphones and earbuds are not allowed on course. Awards include age-group and overall placements as well as recognition for non-binary finishers and K9 finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
