Resolution Run - Fort Collins
The Resolution Run is a neighborhood streets 5K held on New Year’s Eve in Fort Collins with the start and finish at Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC). The event is presented as a family-friendly run on low-traffic residential streets. The course is designated as a rules of the road run; participants must obey all traffic laws and yield to traffic if encountered.
Participants may include children, strollers, dogs and walkers. Finishers who complete the course in under 20:26 receive a special prize. Entry fees include a gender-specific long-sleeve t-shirt (registration by December 20 guarantees a shirt), a finisher memento, glow sticks and hot chocolate. Glow sticks are provided on course and participants are encouraged to wear bright clothes and lights because the race takes place after sunset.
Organizers note that they may secure open skate time at EPIC; if that is available, attendees can bring their own skates or rent skates on-site for a fee of $3.
