About the race
The Sammamish City Marathon is a road race that follows a newly designed course through Sammamish, Washington. The route starts at the Sammamish City Center (City Hall) and runs through local neighborhoods, Soaring Eagle Park, along Beaver Lake Boulevard to 228th, and returns to the start area near Skyline High School.
Course details include USATF certification and designation as a Boston Marathon qualifying course. Aid stations offering water, Gatorade, gels, and basic first aid are placed approximately every three miles along the course. Parking is available free at the City Center Town Hall Sammamish and at Skyline High School.
Event services and participant items listed by the organizer include admission to a pasta feed the day before at Redmond Town Center, long sleeve full color technical mesh T-shirts for registrants, and finisher medallions (the marathon medallion described as cast iron).
