Salute to Veterans Half Marathon - Shreveport
This event takes place on October 31, 2026 at Walker Place Park in Bossier City, LA. It is organized as a community race to honor veterans and active duty military. All participants receive a race shirt and a custom finisher medal.

- 10K
- Half Marathon
- Virtual race option
All courses are out and back. The course is not completely flat but is not very hilly. Self-serve water stations will be available at approximately every 1.5 miles. Participants must maintain at least a 16 minute per mile pace to finish.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers in each distance, to the top three overall Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters male and female finishers, and to the top three athletes in each traditional five-year age group starting at 10 & Under across all distances.
Registration is offered in early bird, regular, late, and race day tiers. Veterans may register for free and active duty military may register for a reduced fee of $15 with government issued military ID. Participants who register by October 21 are guaranteed a race shirt in their chosen size; after that shirts are available while supplies last.
Virtual participants may run remotely, submit results online, and have results posted the Monday after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
