About the race
The Salmon Run is an annual road race in Bend, Oregon. The 2027 edition is the 39th running and takes place along courses that follow the Deschutes River, with start and finish areas located at Riverbend Park. The event is authorized under a special use permit issued by the Deschutes National Forest.
Distances offered:
- Half marathon
- 10K
- 5K
Course maps are available via the Ride With GPS app for each distance. Packet pick up is available at Footzone in Downtown Bend on the Friday before the race and also on race morning. Gear drop tags are provided at packet pick up and on site the morning of the race.
Aid stations and supplies:
- Half marathon: five aid stations at about miles 2.8, 4.8, 7.5, 9.2, 12.1 with water, GU brew and GU gels.
- 10K: two aid stations at about miles 2.6 and 5.2 with water, GU brew and GU gels.
- 5K: one aid station at about mile 2.3 with water, an electrolyte drink and GU gels.
Every finisher receives a medal and registrants may select either a soft crew neck sweatshirt or a performance tee as race apparel options. A post-race celebration at Riverbend Park includes music, food, a beer from Crux Brewery and local vendors.
