2026 Salmon Run
The Salmon Run is an annual event held in Bend, Oregon. The 38th edition of the race features three main distances and an additional run for children. Participants traverse paths along the Deschutes River, passing through natural areas characterized by junipers and pines.
The event offers the following distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K (6.1 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Little Fry Run
Each course utilizes a mix of surfaces. The 13.1 mile route consists of 75% paved sidewalks and 25% trail. The 10K route is 80% paved sidewalks and 20% trail, while the 5K route consists of 65% paved sidewalks and 35% trail. Courses are indicated with mile markers and directional arrows.
The race concludes on the lawn at Riverbend Park. Post-race festivities at the finish line include music, food, and beverages. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the open and master's categories. Additionally, ribbons are given to the top three finishers in various age groups.
Parking at Riverbend Park is limited on race day, and organizers recommend carpooling. Parking attendants provide direction upon arrival, and further parking is available on city streets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
