Salisbury Rowan Runners Prediction Run 5K at Salisbury City Park
The event is a club prediction 5K held at Salisbury City Park, 316 Lake Drive, Salisbury, NC. The course follows the old First Methodist Missions 5K route and includes three laps around City Lake. Check-in is at the large shelter above the City Park building. Parking is available at the shelter lot and along the street. Day‑of registration is available.
Participants register either as current Salisbury Rowan Runners members at no fee or as new members with an individual one‑year club membership fee or a family membership covering immediate household members. Membership benefits listed for new members include a club T-shirt, monthly newsletter, volunteer opportunities, club fun runs, an annual meeting and dinner, year‑end awards, and a 15% discount at Ralph Baker Shoes.
At check-in each participant predicts their 5K finishing time. Runners must remove watches and phones before the start and must not receive time coaching from others along the course. No finish line clocks will be used; finish times will be posted after the run.
Prizes are awarded based on how close a participant’s finish is to their prediction. First place receives a pair of running shoes from Ralph Baker Shoes. Additional placed prizes and door prizes include race entries, a pair of Topo shoes, and multiple pairs of Feetures socks. Free breakfast, cookies, fruit, and water will be available after the run.
