Salem Days 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Salem Days running event takes place at Salem Pond, also known as Knoll Park, in Salem, Utah. This community event features two distinct distance options for participants:
- 5 km
- 1 mile
Participants compete for several awards based on their performance in either distance. The organizers provide awards for the first, second, and third place overall finishers. Additionally, age division medals are awarded to those who place in the top three within their specific age categories for both the 5 km and the 1 mile races.
Registered participants receive a race shirt, though availability is limited to the stock on hand. These t-shirts are designed as non gender specific. After the conclusion of the races, a prize raffle is held for those in attendance.
Parking for the event is designated at Salem Elementary School, located at 100 West 100 South. From the parking area, participants walk across the bridge to reach the staging area at Salem Pond. Packet pickup is organized on the evening prior to the race at the Salem Recreation Office, as well as on the morning of the event at the pond.
