Saint Louis Half Marathon and 5K
The Saint Louis Half Marathon and 5K returns for its 47th year on November 8, 2026. First held in 1980, it is the longest-running half marathon in the St. Louis region and is run on roads through Forest Park.

Both the half marathon and the 5K start and finish at the Muny Festival Grounds in Forest Park, near the Upper Muny lot on Macklind Drive. The event uses an "Open Start" format: there is a formal gun-start while participants may begin within a brief window.
All finishers receive a custom metal medal. The half marathon awards prize money to the first, second, and third overall male and female finishers with amounts of $500, $250, and $100 respectively. Age group awards recognize the top three finishers in standard age brackets from 19 & under through 70 plus. The 5K presents overall awards for the top three male and female finishers.
Packet pickup is scheduled at local locations before the event, including Running Niche at 1601 Tower Grove Avenue and the Voyager Room in the Forest Park Visitors Center, with additional race-day pickup available. Race apparel and finish medals differ by distance; a limited-edition beanie is available for purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
