Saint Louis Half Marathon and 5K
The Saint Louis Half Marathon and 5K, hosted by the St. Louis Track Club, returns to Forest Park on November 8, 2026 for its 47th year. First run in 1980, the event is described as the longest running half marathon in the St. Louis region. Both races start and finish at the Muny Festival Grounds and follow a road race course through the historic and scenic areas of Forest Park. The course is modified for 2026 and updated maps will be provided.

The event uses an Open Start format for each race. All finishers receive a custom medal. The half marathon awards prize money to the top three overall male and female finishers: $500 for first, $250 for second, and $100 for third. Age group awards recognize the top three in each listed age group for male and female competitors; age groups include 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over. The 5K offers overall awards for the top three male and female finishers.
A virtual participation option is available. Packet pickup is scheduled Friday, November 6 at Running Niche, 1601 Tower Grove Avenue, and Saturday, November 7 at the Voyager Room in the Forest Park Visitors Center; participants will receive detailed pickup times by email. Registration by 11:59 pm on October 20, 2026 guarantees a shirt.
