Event Overview
The Saint Hilary School 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk is a community gathering held in Rydal, Pennsylvania. Now in its third year, this event, also known as the Lion Pride Fun Run/Walk, serves as a fundraiser to support the school's mission and educational programs. The event takes place on the grounds of Saint Hilary School and extends into the neighboring residential community.
Participants can choose from several participation options:
- 5K run
- 1-Mile walk
- Cub Run (a 100-yard dash for children)
- Shirt-only purchase option
The course follows a route designed to be scenic and safe for all participants. To ensure security, the race path is monitored by volunteers and local police support. The event is stroller-friendly, and there is no registration fee for infants in strollers. Registered participants have access to snacks and entertainment provided during the event.
Packet pickup is organized at the Saint Hilary Parish Center. This process includes a Blessing of the Runners during specific local Mass times on the day of the event. All proceeds from registrations and direct donations are allocated to supporting the school's social, physical, and academic initiatives for students.
