2026 Rye Derby YMCA 5K & 5M
The Rye Derby YMCA is an annual community running event held at the Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Avenue, Rye, NY. The event includes race distances for a range of participants and is presented as part of Healthy Kids Day. It serves as a fundraiser for the Y Cares Financial Assistance Program.

Registrants receive a Derby T-shirt while supplies last. The 5 Mile race requires participants to be at least 14 years old. Early bib pickup is offered on the Friday and Saturday before the event and bib pickup is also available on the day of the event.
Course notes: the 5M and 5K courses are mostly flat with a few inclines and include three water stations. The 1 Mile course is mostly flat with one steep incline at the midpoint. Streets on the course are not closed to traffic; volunteers and police will be on the route.
Awards for the 5 Mile race include cash prizes for the top three overall finishers and medals for age group placings. The 5K offers overall and age group awards, and the 1 Mile provides ribbons to all finishers. Team awards recognize fastest team, most creative attire, and most participants, with a minimum team size required to qualify. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
