The 38th Annual Rye YMCA Derby and Healthy Kids Day takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Avenue, Rye, NY 10580. The event includes races of multiple distances and a family fun run. Registrants receive a Derby T-shirt while supplies last. The race is a fundraiser for the Y Cares Financial Assistance Program. The 5M and 5K courses are mostly flat with a few inclines and include three water stations. The 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk is mostly flat with one steep incline at the midway point. Streets are not closed to traffic; volunteers and police will be on the course.

Registration fees vary by date and include a credit card processing fee. Prices increase on March 6 and again on race day. Registrants who register by April 5 are eligible for a personalized bib. Early bib pickup is available on April 24 and April 25; day-of pickup is available on the event date. Must be 14 years old to enter the 5 Mile race. Awards include cash prizes for the top three overall men and women in the 5 Mile race and age-group medals for both the 5M and 5K. The 1 Mile finishers receive ribbons.
