Ryan Lambert Memorial 5K
The Ryan Lambert Memorial 5K is a fundraising event on Saturday, June 13, 2026 in Bowers Beach, Delaware. It benefits the Ryan Lambert Memorial Foundation, which supports Vietnam Veteran programs and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The event is organized by the Ryan Lambert Memorial Committee and the Seashore Striders.
Events include a 5K Run and a 5K Walk. There is also a free Kids 100m Dash for children 8 and under, which starts at 8:45 AM. The main events start at 9:00 AM. Registration is $30 through June 12, and $35 on race day from 7:30 AM to 8:50 AM. Parking is at Clifton Cubbage Drive.
The race course is described as a fast and flat 3.11-mile out-and-back route on the roads of Bowers Beach. Timing uses the Chronotrack chip system. Awards are given for the 5K run to overall and master winners, plus the top three finishers in standard age groups from 9 & under to 70 & over. The 5K walk awards the top three male and female finishers.
Registered participants receive a short-sleeve cotton blend race shirt if they pre-register by June 1, 2025. Post-race refreshments and music are provided. The organizers have a no-refund policy but offer options to transfer to another event, donate the fee, or defer to the following year.
