Runway to a Cure

Event Information

Runway to a Cure is a community 5K run and walk on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The event takes place directly on the runway at Skydive Chicago Airport in Ottawa, Illinois. The event was inspired by a personal cancer treatment journey and aims to raise support for cancer research.

The program includes several activities:

• A unique runway-based 5K course open to runners and walkers.
• A Survivor Recognition Lap.
• A skydiver flag landing ceremony to honor those impacted by cancer.
• A family-friendly atmosphere with music, community sponsors, and activities.
• Raffles, a silent auction, and a post-race celebration at the JumpRun Café.

The following events are offered:

• Runway To A Cure 5K - Registration fee is $35.
• Survivor Run/Walk - Registration is free.
• Family Walk / Run - Registration fee is $20.
