Huntington Woods Run/Walk BOOM 5k
This event is a family-friendly road race through the City of Huntington Woods on June 28, 2026, with a start and finish at the Huntington Woods Gillham Recreation Center, 26325 Scotia Rd, Huntington Woods, MI 48070. The event includes two distances:
- Mile Run (1 mile)
- 5k Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
Registration opens April 8 and closes June 28, 2026. Registration fees listed for the events are $15.00 for the Mile and $35.00 for the 5k. A T-shirt is included for participants who register by June 9.
Bibs and T-shirts can be picked up at the Gillham Recreation Center on Saturday, June 27 and on race day, June 28. Day-of or walk-up registrations will be accepted. Parking is available in front of and along the south side of the recreation center and on adjacent streets.
Runners will receive an official time only for the race for which they are registered. To participate in both events, a participant must register separately for each race and wear the correct bib for each event; using the same bib for both races may complicate results confirmation.
Volunteers are needed to support the event. Course maps are available for both the Mile and the 5k. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
