Run/Walk BOOM 5K : Huntington Woods

The event on June 28, 2026 is a family-friendly road race and walk that starts and finishes at the Huntington Woods Gillham Recreation Center. The course runs through the city and offers two separate races; participants receive an official time only for the race for which they are registered. Runners who want to take part in both events must register separately for each and wear the correct bib for each race.

Registration for the events opens April 8 and closes June 28. Fees listed by the organizer are $15.00 for the Mile and $35.00 for the 5k. A T-shirt is included for registrations completed by June 9. Bib and T-shirt pickup is available at the Gillham Recreation Center on Saturday, June 27 from 9:00am to 2:45pm and on race day beginning at 7:00am. Day of registration and walk-up entries are accepted; participants should allow time for on-site registration and bib pickup.

Volunteers are needed for the event; volunteer information is available from the organizer. Course maps are provided for both distances.
