The Carsington Water Trail Half Marathon & 10k takes place in Derbyshire around the reservoir at Carsington Water. The event uses undulating trail paths with open views and countryside surroundings, held in the winter season.

All routes are marked using trail flags and tags, A5 arrows and signage, with marshals at major junctions. The organiser provides a GPX file for the course to help participants self-navigate if routes are disrupted by weather, walkers or wildlife.
