Runtastic Haunted Provo Canyon
The Runtastic Haunted Provo is a Halloween-themed running event held in Provo, Utah. The event features several distances allowing participants to experience the autumn scenery of Provo Canyon:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5K
- Kids Run (0.5 miles)
The Half Marathon course begins at Big Springs Park and travels down Provo Canyon. The route includes themed sections such as the Spook Alley tunnel, a haunted forest, and a graveyard. The race concludes by passing under a large inflatable pumpkin arch.
The 5K is a short and fast course designed for participants in costume. For younger runners, the Kids Run takes place near the main finish line at the Qualtrics location.
Participants in the Half Marathon and 5K receive a long-sleeved race shirt and a finisher medal featuring a spider design. Aid stations are positioned along the courses, providing water and electrolytes. Specific stations for the Half Marathon also offer GU gels.
The event includes a costume contest before the start of the Half Marathon, with categories for best male, female, and group. In the celebration area at the finish line, participants can find post-race food, music, and various photo opportunities. Professional timing is provided for all distances, and pacers are available for the Half Marathon to help runners reach specific time goals ranging from 1 hour 40 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes.
