RunSedona
RunSedona stages road races on and around Dry Creek Road in Sedona, Arizona, using routes that pass red rock formations noted for their iron-rich geology. The event offers three distances:
- 5K: allows strollers; walkers and joggers welcome.
- 10K: out-and-back on paved scenic Dry Creek Road.
- Half Marathon: out-and-back 13.1 mile course along Dry Creek Road.
Entries include chip timing, race photos, live results, a race shirt, a reusable race day cup or HydraPak Speedcup, and complimentary post-race snacks. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers in male, female, and non-binary categories and to the top three in each age group at each distance. A commemorative finisher medal is provided for most distances. The event provides a free race-day shuttle to and from the venue and hosts a post-race expo with local food trucks, vendors, and exhibitors.
The half marathon has a five-hour course limit. Organizers note that Sedona is frequently listed among travel magazine "Top Ten Most Beautiful Places," and the timing in February is described as a period with smaller crowds and milder daytime temperatures.
