Event Overview
The RunSedona event celebrates its 22nd anniversary on February 6, 2027. Located in Sedona, Arizona, the races are staged against a backdrop of iron-rich Red Rock formations. The event is characterized as a boutique-style race experience and takes place during a season with mild daytime temperatures typically ranging from 50 to 60°F.
Distances and Courses
Participants can choose from three primary distances:
- 5K: A route available for runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages. This is the only distance that permits strollers.
- 10K: An out-and-back course on paved surfaces along Dry Creek Road.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1-mile out-and-back course on Dry Creek Road featuring various elevation changes and views of the surrounding rock formations.
The course limit for all distances is five hours.
Participant Information
All registered participants receive a professionally chip-timed race with live results and complimentary race photos. Entry includes a Dri-Fit participant shirt, a commemorative finisher medal (available for the 5K run, 10K, and Half Marathon), and a reusable race day cup or HydraPak Speedcup.
A free shuttle service provides transport to and from the race site on event day. Following the races, there is an expo featuring local Sedona food trucks, vendors, and exhibitors. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers and the top three finishers in all age groups for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon.
