Red Rocks of Sedona Trail Races
Red Rocks of Sedona Trail Races takes place in Sedona, AZ on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The one-day event offers multiple point-to-point and out-and-back trail distances that travel through Sedona’s Southside terrain and include sections of the Hi-Line Trail and exposed ridgelines with views of Cathedral Rock.
The route is fully marked and GPX files are provided for digital navigation. Aid stations are placed along the courses and supply water, electrolytes, and energy snacks. All registered runners receive a technical race shirt and a commemorative finishers’ medal. A Vendor Village at the finish offers recovery services and product samples.
Logistics vary by distance: most courses start at the United Methodist Church and finish at Verde Valley School; the new 2.5 Miler starts and finishes at Verde Valley School and does not require a shuttle. Shuttle service transports runners from the finish area to the start line; there is no runner parking at the start and a shuttle pass is available.
Pre-race activities occur the days before the main event, including a community run and bib pickup. Event production is managed by Trail Running Escapes under permit from Coconino National Forest. The event partners with local organizations and asks participants to follow Leave No Trace principles and the Sedona Cares Pledge to help protect the landscape.
