Running Scared 5K/13K - Richland
The Running Scared event on October 11, 2026 takes place at Leslie Groves Park, 40 Park St, Richland, Washington. The event offers both in-person and virtual race options and multiple distances.

- Heart Pounding 13K in-person and virtual
- Deadly Double 18K combine the 5K and 13K
Standard race entries include a long-sleeve race shirt and a finisher medal; no-shirt registration options are available for those who choose them. Virtual entries can run where and when they want and will be mailed race swag; continental US shipping only.
The Deadly Double requires completing the 5K, returning within 30 minutes, then running the 13K for an 18K total. Deadly Double finishers receive a special finisher medal in addition to the Running Scared shirt.
Awards are planned for the Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers in both the 5K and 13K, Top Three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters Overall categories, and the top three athletes in each five-year age group for both distances. The Deadly Double will also recognize the Top Three Male and Female finishers who complete both races.
