Running Scared 5K/13K - Richland
Running Scared takes place at Leslie Groves Park, 40 Park St, Richland, WA, on October 11, 2026. The event offers both in-person and virtual formats and includes costume encouragement as part of the Halloween theme.

There are multiple entry options for each distance, including no-shirt and virtual choices. Registration opens on 2026-08-17 and closes on 2026-10-04. Registration fees vary by option and range from $30.00 to $60.00.
All in-person participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal. The Deadly Double requires completing the 5K and then completing the 13K within 30 minutes for a total of 18K; participants who complete both events receive a Deadly Double finisher medal in addition to the race shirt.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers in both the 5K and the 13K, and to the top three overall in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters categories. Age-group awards are presented to the top three in the traditional five-year age groups for each distance. Virtual entrants can run at a location of their choice, submit times, and will have race swag mailed to them with Continental US shipping only.
