Running Scared 5K/13K - Denver
The event takes place on 10/17/2026 with a base at Platte River Bar & Grill, 5995 S Santa Fe Dr, Littleton, CO 80120. Rock Creek Park and the Platte River Trail are named as course locations in the event details.
Distances offered include:
- 5K (Scaredy Cat, with and without shirt)
- 13K (Heart Pounding, with and without shirt)
- 18K (Deadly Double, combined 5K and 13K)
- Virtual options for 5K, 13K, and 18K, with swag mailed within the Continental US
All in-person participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal. The Deadly Double requires completing the 5K and then the 13K for a total of 18K and awards a Deadly Double finisher medal in addition to the event shirt.
Registration opens on 2026-08-10 and closes on 2026-10-11. Registration fees vary by event, from $30 to $60.
Awards are planned for top finishers: top three male and female overall in both the 5K and 13K; top three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters overall categories; top three in each traditional five-year age group for both distances; and special recognition for the top three male and female Deadly Double finishers.
