Running Scared 5K & 13K - Las Vegas
The Running Scared event is scheduled for October 18, 2026 at Mountain Edge Regional Park in Las Vegas, NV. The event includes in-person and virtual options, and participants who register by October 8 are guaranteed a race shirt in their selected size while supplies last.

- Deadly Double - complete both the 5K and the 13K
- Virtual race
Courses run inside the park using the Bonanza Trail and are described as family and spectator friendly. The 5K course is described as super flat. All in-person finishers receive a long-sleeve race shirt (unless registered as no-shirt) and a custom finisher medal.
Awards are presented for both distances. Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers receive awards in the 5K and 13K. Additional Overall awards are given in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters categories. Age-group awards are provided to the top three finishers in each traditional five-year age group for both distances. Special recognition is given to the Top Three Male and Female finishers of the Deadly Double.
The event includes regular, late, and race day registration tiers and offers group and fundraising options. Virtual participants submit results online and may view posted results after the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
