Running Scared 5K/13K - Las Vegas

Running Scared is a Halloween-themed race held at Mountain Edge Regional Park in Las Vegas, NV. The event offers two measured distances and a combined option:

• 5K
• 13K

Participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal; registrations completed by October 8 are guaranteed race swag in the requested size, after which items are available while supplies last. A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person; virtual participants run on their chosen route, submit results online, and results are posted the Monday after the event date.

Course routing uses the Bonanza Trail within the park and is described as family and spectator friendly. The 5K course is described as super flat. The event also offers a Deadly Double option for those who complete both distances.

Awards are given to the Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers in each distance and to the Top Three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters overall categories. Age group awards are presented to the top three in traditional five-year age divisions for both distances. Special recognition is provided for the Top Three Male and Female finishers of the Deadly Double.
