Running Over Addiction 5K
Running Over Addiction is the 11th annual event held on 09/12/2026 at South Williamsport Park Complex, 545 E Central Ave, South Williamsport PA 17702. The event raises funds and awareness for the West Branch Drug & Alcohol Abuse Commission, which provides substance use prevention, intervention, and treatment services for Lycoming and Clinton County residents. Community organizations that provide recovery services will have resource tables at the event.
Distances
- 3.1 Miles (5K and Virtual 5K)
There are two event options: an in person 5K and a virtual 5K that can be completed at any location. Registration details and fees are as follows: the in person 5K registration opens 05/15/2026 and closes 08/29/2026 with a registration fee of $30.00; the virtual 5K registration opens 05/08/2026 and closes 09/09/2026 with a registration fee of $40.00. Virtual participants will be mailed a shirt after the event, and virtual registrations made before the shirt deadline will have shirts shipped by 09/20/2026. Participants who register by 08/20/2026 are guaranteed to receive a shirt with their registration.
Children age 10 and under may register for the 5K at no charge; the free registration does not include a shirt and all participants must register to sign a waiver. Awards will be given to the top three in person finishers. Sponsors include Applegate, Crossroads, Firetree LTD, Genesis House, Geo Group, Hardline Volleyball, Lycoming County Health Choices, Purdy Insurance, Pyramid, River Valley Health, Silver Pines, UPMC Williamsport, White Deer Run, and Williamsport Family Medical.
