Running Out Of Summer 5K : Spencer, MA
The Running Out Of Summer 5K is a charity race hosted by Rapscallion Brewery & Taproom and organized by The Rapscallion HOPS Foundation. The event takes place in Spencer, Massachusetts on August 29, 2026, with a course described as scenic, flat, and fast along the Spencer Rail Trail. An after-party is held at O’Gara Park.
All entrants receive a custom super soft race shirt if registered by August 1, a small gift bag, and a drink token valid for a draught at any Rapscallion location. The drink token may be used at early packet pick up on Friday night, on race day, or at any later time. The event includes music and opportunities to meet adoptable dogs from the Second Chance Animal Services adoption van.
Awards recognize first overall male and first overall female, and organizers give awards for teams, including fastest and biggest teams. Additional recognition is planned for some of the youngest and oldest runners. The Rapscallion HOPS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides financial support to community members in Spencer and Sturbridge, MA. Spencer Parks & Recreation participates as a local partner; the commission is an all volunteer board that oversees maintenance and programming for town parks and recreation facilities.
