Running of the Ox 5K, 2 Mile & 1 Mile
This community run takes place on Labor Day as part of the West Jefferson annual Ox Roast. All three runs start and finish at West Jefferson High School in West Jefferson, Ohio.
The course is described as flat and fast, using paved roads and passing Garrette Park, the site of the Ox Roast. T-shirts are provided for each registrant.

Registration opens April 30 and closes June 20. Standard registration fee is $25. Reduced fees are available: $8 for children ages 8 and under and $20 for students ages 9 to 17.
Proceeds support the community and the work of the West Jefferson Youth Athletic Association. The WJYAA seeks to teach boys and girls in a fun and competitive atmosphere that encourages skill development, sportsmanship, camaraderie and learning how to win and lose with the team.
