Event overview

The OSU Indoor Triathlon takes place on January 25, 2026, at the Recreational and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH (337 Annie and John Glenn Ave, 43210). The event includes two categories: OSU Indoor Triathlon (Open) and OSU Indoor Triathlon (Collegiate/HS). The event will serve as a USAT Collegiate Nationals qualifier.

Format and race structure

The indoor triathlon is based on time rather than distance. The competition sequence is:

10 minute swim in the indoor competition pool
15 minute transition to prepare for the bike
20 minute stationary bike segment
5 minute transition to the track
15 minute run on the indoor track

Collegiate racers are scheduled to compete before open racers. Racers are seeded by recent 5k times. Preliminary wave assignments will be posted on January 18, 2026; registrations after that date are placed in the last waves. The organizers do not accept requests for specific wave placements. Same-day registration is available.

Additional information

Food is provided after the race. Each racer is guaranteed a t-shirt if registered by January 4, 2026. Prizes include certificates toward a Roka wetsuit for the top male and top female finishers.
