Mistletoe Run : Winston-Salem YMCA fundraiser
The Mistletoe Run is an annual YMCA fundraiser held on December 5, 2026, at the William G White, Jr. Family YMCA in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The event includes a certified, USATF-sanctioned course and chip timing for the Half Marathon and 5K.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 5K course travels through the Buena Vista neighborhood. The half marathon course continues through the Graylyn International Conference Center area, Reynolda House and Gardens, Reynolda Village, and the Wake Forest University campus before returning to the YMCA.
Event features listed by the organizer include live music, food trucks, vendors, community mascots, local cheerleaders, athletes, and donuts at the finish line. 5K and Half Marathon participants receive a long-sleeved custom race shirt and a finisher medal. Fun Run participants receive a finisher ribbon.
Registration opens June 1, 2026. Registration deadlines and fees by event are:
- Half Marathon: closes August 31, 2026; fee $70.00.
- 5K: closes August 31, 2026; fee $35.00.
- 1 Mile Fun Run: closes October 31, 2026; fee $20.00.
Proceeds benefit YMCA youth programs such as swim lessons, summer camp, youth sports, before and after school care, and teen memberships. The event is presented by the law firm Bell, Davis & Pitt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
