Running of the Leprechauns : Greensboro, NC
The Running of the Leprechauns is held at Oden Brewing Company in Greensboro and follows a route that tours the UNCG campus before returning to Oden Brewing on the Saturday before St. Paddy's Day. The main race is chip timed and is part of The Race Series; all finishers receive series points.
Event options include:
- 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles
- Leprechaun Stroll - untimed walk, less than 1 mile
- Leprechaun Dash - short untimed course for youth ages 8 and under
Participants receive race giveaways while supplies last, including a short-sleeved blend shirt, a special finisher’s gift, and a craft beer from Oden Brewing for those 21 and older. The Leprechaun Stroll includes a swag bag, a race shirt while supplies last, and one brew. An awards ceremony takes place at Oden Brewing. The event is family, stroller and pet friendly.
A best dressed Leprechaun contest is part of the event; the top leprechaun chosen by judges receives a $75 gift card to Oden Brewing. Volunteering and spectating are options for those not running. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
