Event overview
The Running of the Leprechauns takes place on March 14, 2026, in Greensboro, NC. The race starts and finishes at Oden Brewing Company, 802 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27403. The main event is a chip-timed 5K and the event is part of The Race Series; finishers receive series points for participation. An awards ceremony and race giveaways take place at Oden Brewing.

The course tours parts of the UNCG campus and returns to Oden Brewing. The Leprechaun Stroll includes a swag bag, a race shirt while supplies last, and two brews. All participants receive a commemorative short-sleeved blend shirt while supplies last and a special finisher’s gift. Craft beer from Oden Brewing is provided for participants aged 21 and over.
The event is family, stroller, and pet friendly. A costume contest for best dressed leprechaun is judged on race day, with the top leprechaun receiving a $100 gift card to Oden Brewing.
