Event overview
The Running of the Leprechauns takes place Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Greensboro, NC at Oden Brewing Company (802 W Gate City Blvd., 27403). The event features multiple distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Leprechaun Stroll (untimed, less than 1 mile)
- Leprechaun Dash (untimed, youth 8 and under)
The 5K is chip timed and is part of The Race Series; all finishers receive series points for participation. Registration prices listed in the event materials are: 5K $30 (price increases after January 4, 2026), Leprechaun Stroll $20 (price increases after February 4, 2026; 36 spots left at time of posting), and Leprechaun Dash $15 (price increases after February 4, 2026).
Logistics and extras
Race giveaways include a commemorative short-sleeved blend shirt while supplies last, a special finisher’s gift, and craft beer from Oden Brewing. The Leprechaun Stroll entry includes a swag bag, race shirt while supplies are available, and two brews. An awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at Oden Brewing.
The event is described as family, stroller, and pet friendly. A Best Dressed Leprechaun contest is planned with a $100 Oden Brewing gift card for the top winner; contest signups are race day only and judging and awards occur after the awards ceremony. RaceJoy will be available for live GPS tracking, progress alerts, and send-a-cheer features.
