Running of the Leprechauns
The event takes place on March 6, 2027 at Oden Brewing Company in Greensboro, North Carolina. The course starts at Oden Brewing, tours the UNCG campus, and returns to Oden Brewing for an early St. Paddy's Leprechaun celebration. The 5K is chip timed and the event is part of The Race Series; finishers receive series points.
Distances and formats include:
- 5K Run/Walk about 3.1 miles
- Leprechaun Stroll untimed walk about 1.5 miles
- Leprechaun Dash short youth dash untimed for ages 8 and under
All participants receive event giveaways while supplies last, including a commemorative short sleeve shirt and a special finisher gift. Participants 21 and over receive a craft beer from Oden Brewing. An awards ceremony will take place at Oden Brewing. The event is family, stroller and pet friendly. Volunteers and spectators are welcome.
A best dressed leprechaun contest takes place with on-site signups on race day only; judges select a top leprechaun who receives a gift card to Oden Brewing. Judging and that award occur immediately following the awards ceremony. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
