Running of the Leprechauns
The Running of the Leprechauns takes place at Oden Brewing Company in Greensboro, NC and follows a route that tours the UNCG campus before returning to Oden Brewing for an early St. Paddy's Leprechaun celebration. The event includes multiple formats and finishes with an awards ceremony at Oden.
Distances and formats
- 5K Run/Walk 3.1 miles, chip timed and part of The Race Series.
- Leprechaun Stroll, untimed walk of about 1.5 miles with race swag and a shirt while supplies last.
- Leprechaun Dash, untimed short course for youth ages 8 and under.
All participants receive event giveaways that include a commemorative short sleeved blend shirt while supplies last, a special finisher gift, and a craft beer from Oden Brewing for those 21 and older. Finishers in the chip timed 5K receive series points for participation. The event is family friendly and allows strollers and pets.
Additional activities include a best dressed leprechaun contest with signups on race day only; judging and the best dressed award take place immediately following the awards ceremony.
