Running of the Bulls 8K

The Running of the Bulls 8K is a community road race in Durham, North Carolina. The 18th edition of the event takes place on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The location is the Historic Durham Athletic Park.

Events

The event includes three separate races:

An 8K road race.
A Kids Run for participants aged 0 to 6.
A Kids Run for participants aged 7 to 12.

Course

The 8K course is described as scenic. It winds through several historic and revitalized neighborhoods in downtown Durham, including the American Tobacco Campus, Trinity Park, and Old North Durham. The finish line is on the warning track inside the historic Old Durham Athletic Park.

Additional Information

Strollers are permitted for participants. Dogs and headphones are not allowed. The event is presented by Bull City Running Co. and sponsored by the Law Office of James Scott Farrin. Volunteer opportunities are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
