Running of the Bulls 8K - Durham, NC
The event on May 30, 2026 is a community road race based at Historic Durham Athletic Park. The program includes multiple race distances:
- 8K
- 0.25 miles (ages 0-6)
- 0.25 miles (ages 7-12)
The 8K course travels through downtown Durham and the surrounding neighborhoods, including the American Tobacco Campus, Trinity Park, and Old North Durham, and finishes with a lap on the warning track inside Historic Durham Athletic Park.
Two kids races take place on the park warning track. Children ages 0-6 and ages 7-12 start near the first base line foul pole alongside the Durham Bulls mascot and finish near third base. Each kids participant receives a personalized bib, chip time, and a finisher's cowbell.
Registration fees listed for the event are $40.00 for the 8K and $10.00 for each kids run. Strollers are permitted on course; dogs and headphones are not permitted.
