Running of the Bulls 8K - Durham, NC
The Running of the Bulls 8K takes place on May 30, 2026, with activities centered at Historic Durham Athletic Park in Durham, NC 27701. The main event is an 8K road race that follows a scenic course through downtown Durham, the American Tobacco Campus, Trinity Park and the Old North Durham neighborhoods. The finish includes a lap of the warning track inside the historic Old Durham Athletic Park.
The event program also includes two children’s runs: Kids Run for ages 0 to 6 and Kids Run for ages 7 to 12. Strollers are permitted for participants. Dogs and headphones are not permitted during the event.
This is the 18th running of the race. The event is presented by Bull City Running Co. and sponsored by the Law Office of James Scott Farrin.
