Running for Success 5K Run/Walk 2027
The event is a community 5K run and walk held on the Shore Road Promenade in Brooklyn. The course begins at Bay Parkway on the Shore Road Promenade and runs out and back, with a turnaround at the halfway point. The venue address is 8973 Bay Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11214.
Race amenities include an authentic Dri-Fit running shirt for all participants, a ticket for a free slice of pizza at Pizza D’Amore, a pre-race warmup led by Crunch Fitness, and free finish line photos and video. The first 50 registrants receive I.S. 223 water bottles. Live results are available online and by text or email; same-day finish line photos are provided.
Awards are given to the overall top male, female, and nonbinary participants and to the top three in age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
Proceeds support I.S. 223 by helping to send students to a weeklong sleepaway running camp in Swan Lake, NY. Bib pickup is handled by event staff onsite; participants who register three weeks in advance may receive a personalized bib with their name. A Self Lookup area is available for participants who do not know their bib number. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
