Running for Success 5K Run/Walk - May 31, 2026
Running for Success is a community 5K run/walk held at Promenade Bay Parkway, 8973 Bay Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11214. The course follows the Shore Road Promenade, loops back at the halfway mark, and finishes near the start.
Participants receive an authentic Dri-Fit running shirt and a ticket for a free slice of pizza at Pizza D'Amore. I.S. 223 water bottles are reserved for the first 50 registrants. Crunch Fitness will lead a pre-race warmup. Live online, text, and email results are provided, and free finish line photos are made available. Runners who register three weeks in advance can have their name printed on a personalized bib; a self-lookup area is available for bib numbers.
Registration fees are listed as 5K Run/Walk $33.80 (includes processing fee) and 18 & under $18.28. Registration may include additional options such as donations, and team registration is available as an optional feature.
Awards include overall top finishers for male, female, and X categories and top three finishers in multiple age groups: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Proceeds will help send I.S. 223 runners to a weeklong sleepaway running camp in Swan Lake, NY. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
