Running for Success 5K Run/Walk 2027
Running for Success is a community 5K run and walk held along the Shore Road Promenade in Brooklyn, New York. The course begins at Bay Parkway on the Promenade and loops back near the halfway point. The venue address is 8973 Bay Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11214.
Registration is not yet open; notifications are available for when registration opens ahead of the event.
Participants receive an authentic Dri-Fit running shirt and a ticket for a free slice of pizza at Pizza D’Amore. The first 50 registrants are eligible to receive I.S. 223 water bottles. A pre-race warmup is led by Crunch Fitness. Results are provided live online, by text, and by email; free finish line photos and same-day video are available. Registrants who sign up at least three weeks in advance can receive a personalized bib.
Awards are presented to the top overall male, female, and nonbinary finishers, and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Proceeds will help send I.S. 223 runners to a weeklong sleepaway running camp in Swan Lake, NY.
Bib pickup is handled by event staff at the venue; registrants must know their bib number or use a self lookup area. If registration occurs within 24 hours of bib pickup, the bib number can be sent by text or found via Bib Lookup. Directions note nearby access by car via Belt Parkway/Leif Ericson Drive/Shore Parkway, by subway on the D train to Bay Parkway, and by the B64 bus to Bath Avenue and Bay Parkway.
