About the race
Running Events Devon stages Spooky Challenge Day 1 on Saturday 30 October 2027. The event uses a Turn Up Get Going (TUGG) system within a fixed timed window and is organised as a seven hour timed event.
Each lap is 5.3 km (out and back) along a scenic route on an old disused train line. The course is accurately measured, classified as Road, and is run entirely on tarmac. The route is described as undulating.
Participants who complete one or more laps within the permitted time are classed as finishers and may collect an event medal. If the event reaches capacity, later entrants receive a bespoke medal chosen from those available on the day.
Practical details: maximum 50 entrants, minimum age 18 years, entries close 29/10/2027, permit number ARC. Entry categories listed by the organiser include Affiliated £32.00, Unattached £34.00, Affiliated No Perks £21.00, and Unattached No Perks £23.00.
