The event includes three races:

- Virtual Runaway Pumpkin 5K
Location
The event takes place at the Child Protection Center's Campus of Healing, located at 5600 Peace River Rd in North Port, Florida.
Family Fest
A Family Fest with free admission runs alongside the race. Activities include food trucks, trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, a bounce house, a puppy pit with therapy dogs, and a kids' costume contest. The costume contest is divided into age groups: 0-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-8 years, and 9-12 years.
Costume Guidelines
Participants in both the 5K and the Family Fest may wear costumes. All costumes must be child-friendly. Weapon props and face coverings are not permitted, except for children wearing face coverings during their specific age-group costume contest.
Charity and Donations
The event benefits the Child Protection Center (CPC), with proceeds supporting trauma-informed care, forensic services, and advocacy for families in Sarasota County.
