Event overview
The RunAround Tucson Relay p/b Tucson Medical Center is a relay event on January 3, 2026 in Tucson, Arizona, based at Rillito Regional Park. The event uses about 50 miles of the Chuck Huckelberry Loop and its segment partners. Event options listed include Relay Team, Ultra Loopy (solo ultra), Buddy Runner/Rider, and a prepaid relay team option. RaceJoy participant tracking will be active for the event.
Course and format
This is a supported relay with nine exchanges and ten running legs (11 legs if using the unofficial Exchange 6A). The relay starts and finishes at Rillito Park. Team size ranges from a minimum of two to a maximum of ten (or 11 with the unofficial exchange). Teams must check in at every exchange or they will be recorded as a DNF; Ultra Loopy runners only need to check in at Exchange 6. Slowest teams have 11.5 hours to complete the course. Distances for the 2026 exchange legs (subject to change) include:
- 4.4 miles Rillito Park to Curtis Park
- 4.61 miles Curtis Park to Camino del Cerro Park
- 3.7 miles Camino del Cerro Park to Juhan Park
- 5.04 miles Juhan Park to Paseos de la Iglecius Park and Ride Lot
- 6.86 miles Park and Ride Lot to Augie Acuna Los Ninos Park
- 8.61 miles Augie Acuna to Old Vail Road Park and Ride Lot
- 5.16 miles Old Vail Rd to Fantasy Island
- 4.81 miles Fantasy Island to Christ Community Church
- 4.18 miles Christ Community Church to Pantano Park and Ride Lot
- 6.72 miles Pantano Park and Ride to Rillito Park
Awards and partnerships
Awards are given to first place teams in specified categories: All Male, All Female, and Co-Ed full relay teams (4-11 runners); All Male, All Female, and Co-Ed half relay teams (2 runners); and male and female Ultra Loopy winners.
