RunAround Tucson Relay presented by Tucson Medical Center
The RunAround Tucson Relay is a supported relay and ultra running event on the Chuck Huckelberry Loop in Tucson. The relay starts and finishes at Rillito Regional Park and follows the Rillito and Canyon Del Oro washes on paved, shared-use trail. The course is divided into ten running legs with nine official exchanges; an unofficial exchange (6A) can create an eleventh leg. Distances between exchanges range from about 2.75 miles to 7 miles.
Teams and individual options are offered:
- 54.1 Miles relay team entry
- 50 Miles solo ultra
Teams consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of ten runners, or eleven if using the unofficial exchange 6A. Each team is responsible for assembling runners at the exchanges and for returning teammates who are not running the final leg to the Start/Finish area. The event provides exchange support and course routing along the Loop. Registration options in 2026 include individual relay entries, prepaid full-team entry, and a free buddy runner or rider category that does not include race perks. Registration for the relay and solo categories opens May 1, 2026 and closes September 1, 2026; buddy runner registration has a later closing date. As of 2027 the event is produced by Aravaipa Running. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
